Ceramic Class
Training in Ceramics
 

Course participants will be introduced to the concepts and equipment used in the production of ceramics and learn ceramic techniques such as hand building, coiling, soft slab, hard slab, throwing, decoration and glazing skills to express one's own creativity. Participants will be given appropriate personal attention to enhance their skills in their works.

Lam Cho Ling , Jessie
Born in Hong Kong and studied in York University and Seneca College in Toronto, Canada. Returned in Hong Kong in 1992 and began to take an interest in ceramics, starting in Cobo Ceramic Studio to learn basic skills in pottery making. In 2001, she graudated in the Royal Melburne Institute of Technology with a BFA major in ceramics. Now, she is a pottery tutor.
 
Cheung Wai Sze, Rachel
Born in Hong Kong, Rachel Cheung has obtained a bachelor's degree majored in ceramics from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT), Australia in 2001. Rachel was a winner of the ¡¥Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition 2001'. In 2002, she was one of the selected artists for the Artists in the Neighbourhood Scheme II. In 2003, she won a scholarship to the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom and obtained a master degree in Glass in 2004. She then awarded for the Residency Programme in North Lands Creative Glass, Scotland, funded by the Gulbenkian Foundation for British graduates 2004. Rachel's work is collected by Hong Kong Museum of Art and North Lands Creative Glass, Scotland.
 
Wong Mei Han, Yokky
Studied ceramic under Mr. Chan Chung Kong from 1988. graduated in Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Studio Ceramic in 1991 and founded YA in 1995. She is a ceramic tutor of Hong Kong Museum of Art and several primary, secondary school.
